Tony Pisanelli – Author of The Phoenix Career Principles – Talks Transformation in Writing a Book

Tony Pisanelli – Author of The Phoenix Career Principles – Talks Transformation in Writing a Book

November 4, 2022 Posted by Yvonne DiVita Books, Business & Entrepreneurship, Smart Conversations with Yvonne, Writing

From Ashes to Flight

(link to video podcast is at the end of this post – content below is descriptive of the conversation)

Tony Pisanelli tells us that his book ??? ??????? ?????? ??????????: ???? ???????? ????? ?? ??? ????? ?? ??????????????? ??????? , (2022), came after years of reading other books and coming to understand the power of the messages in them. But also, as a result of his own dissatisfaction at discovering he was just a ‘cog’ in the wheel where he worked.

Why is he the best person to write a book on career transformation? Well, it’s because he’s transformed himself and his life, using the principles described in his book.

In this conversation, Tony reveals there are two groups of people in the career world: those who go through the motion of getting a job done, day after day, and those who are actually enthusiastic about their work.

Both require a vision for the future. A vision to look ahead five or ten years and wonder where they’ll be. The first group may be in the same dreary place. The second group will take control of their lives and learn how to make their work (and life) exactly what they want it to be.

The Fear Can Be Overwhelming

Truth is, losing a job is frightening. It causes depression, loss of income, loss of self-worth, and a drastic, unpleasant, change to that daily routine. This is a set up for failure.

Tony realized that people needed more than someone who could update their resume. They needed a transformational coach who could help them uncover what they care about. What makes them excited to get up every day. Because, as he points out by using me as an example, if you’re passionate about what you do, you have self-worth, dignity, and a chance for happiness.

You’ll hear Tony talk about his defining moment. How he was offered a pay-out – totally unexpectedly. And then, what he did about it.

Books & the Journey of Becoming an Author

book cover image, The Phoenix Career Principles, by Tony PisanelliYes, there is a lot of talk about how books influence us. How we read them to learn and grow. And how Tony’s book is exactly that – a message that can help you both learn and grow, helping you plan ahead to deal with the kind of event he was faced with, or with the knowledge of how to succeed in making your job as an “employee” worthwhile.

It’s a journey. Both the transformational coaching but also, the writing of a book. I’m proud that Tony chose me – that he recognized the value of a Throughline (link is to our book on said topic), and wanted someone to help him with that as he wrote his book.

We talk about so much more. About how the book becomes a vehicle to more success, in podcast interviews and summits. And how it’s always a product designed to serve the people who read it.

I recommend the book not just because Tony is a client, but because he is doing it right. He’s putting YOU first.

CAREER QUAKE AHEAD!

As renowned coach, author, and career transformation keynote speaker, Tony successfully navigated his corporate career through several reinventions (I LOVE the word reinvention) that enabled him to rise above dissatisfaction and avoid the pain of job loss even when thousands were losing theirs. It was natural that he chose to become a Career Transformation Coach and Thought Leader.

I have not heard anyone in career or life coaching describe what’s happening as well as Tony: can you say ?????? ?????? In his 30+ year corporate journey, he experienced many ?????? ????? ??????? with varying degrees of magnitude. (? ?????? ????? ?? ?? ??????????? ????????? ?? ? ?????????.)

Having developed a resilient shift in mindset, Tony still sees opportunity where others only cling to trauma. When he saw an important, unmet need in the marketplace, it became his catalyst to serve others who were drifting along without an answer to their worry and dissatisfaction.

In this revealing conversation, you learn what convinced Tony to write his book, how he made that journey – and it is a journey! – and how he is now sharing his message in podcasts and summits, to help anyone suffering the devastating loss of their job. Watch and learn what Tony knows about career change – both within and separate from an organization.

About Yvonne DiVita

My friends call me The Book Whisperer. I'm a Book Coach and Author advisor. I help entrepreneurs and successful business professionals put their story into a book. A book that matters. That leaves a legacy. That creates community. That helps build business and invites more speaking opportunities. A book that builds authority. I’m a writer. An author. An advisor. A former book publisher. In 2015, I was awarded the title of Woman of the Year in the Women in the Pet Industry Network. It was the most wonderful accolade and highest honor I have ever received! My favorite saying is: "It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things."
